On Oct 7th - F.O.C.U.S YORK Situation Table launched. Will follow the catchment areas of @TorontoPolice 12 and 13 Divisions.

Very exciting to announce that FOCUS York, Toronto’s Sixth FOCUS Toronto Situation Table, was launched on Oct 7th.

FOCUS York launched in the area bordering 12 and 13 Divisions this week, following expansion earlier this year into 41, 32, and 22 Divisions. With six tables now in operation including Rexdale, Scarborough, Downtown East, Downtown West, Black Creek and York, FOCUS continues to be better equipped to help more vulnerable Torontonians.

Furthering Our Community by Uniting Services (FOCUS) is an innovative, collaborative risk driven approach to Community Safety and Wellbeing co-led by the City of Toronto, United Way Toronto and Toronto Police Service that aims to reduce risk, harm, crime, victimization and improve community resiliency and wellbeing. The model builds off of international best practices and lessons learned through the Community Crisis Response Program.
